Day 1 <\/h4>\n
On arrival at the Windhoek International Airport you will be welcomed by a company representative and transferred to Namibia\u2019s capital city, Windhoek.<\/p>\n
Windhoek is often described as a city with a \u201ccontinental\u201d atmosphere due to its architecture (historical buildings dating back to the German colonial rule), cuisine, culture, dress and educational institutions.Windhoek portrays the colour, sounds and tempo of a modern African city with its displays of African drums and woodcarvings on the pavements, which contrast with the elegant shops offering sophisticated Swakara garments and Namibian gemstones. Sidewalk cafes offering Namibian style breakfasts (Fruhschoppen) which can be enjoyed with a glass of sparkling wine or locally brewed draught beer. In addition to steak houses and coffee bars serving snacks, the city has a wide range of a la carte restaurants offering German, French, Taiwanese, Portuguese, Italian, African and Chinese cuisine.<\/p>\n
Overnight accommodation will be at the OLIVE GROVE GUEST HOUSE on a bed and breakfast basis. Dinner this evening can either be at the Guest House or one of the many restaurants in town (optional extra).<\/p>\n
Olive Grove is an upmarket establishment situated close to the city centre in a quiet, peaceful area. The indoor lounge is tastefully decorated, with comfortable chairs and a fireplace in front of which to relax and read a magazine. Whilst each room caters for the every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. After all, luxury should be subtle. Day 2<\/h4>\n
After a leisurely breakfast you will be met by a company representative and transferred to the local Windhoek, Eros Airport and assisted onto your charter flight. Departure by light aircraft for your charter flight on route to the Kalahari region of Namibia<\/p>\n
Overnight at INTU AFRIKA KALAHARI GAME RESERVE at ZEBRA LODGE, set in a panorama of open grassy plain, acacia woodlands and red sand dunes. A luxurious establishment offering eight luxury rooms and five suite all with en-suite bathrooms; the cool interior reflects casual comfort. Accommodation on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.<\/p>\n
As the fading sun paints the dunes with fiery hues, a peace descends upon the land. Respite for the desert from the furnace of day. A time when all life moves easy, in the cooling calm; a time to graze, a time to prey a time to scavenge. The desolate wastes of the Kalahari are the last home of the true indigenous people of Southern Africa. Today, only a handful of nomadic Bushmen live in this wilderness, surviving by hunting and gathering. Living in small groups, they practice total co-operation within the family, the group, between groups and with nature itself. Intu Afrika offers a variety of activities in the vast Kalahari wilderness. Explore the Thirstland in open 4\u00d74 vehicles. Marvel at desert sunrises and sunsets; be seduced by the charms of an alluring landscape; get up close to lion, oryx, springbok, giraffe. Wildebeest, zebra and other smaller desert mammals. Listen to the specific calls of a large number of bird species. Learn about our predator re-introduction programme. Seize the rare opportunity of a sunrise or sunset walk through the rolling red sand dunes, led by a Bushman tracker. Be intrigued by his desert survival secrets and hear the history of the ancient San people.<\/p>\n

After breakfast and an early morning walk with a Bushman tracker, board your charter flight which will take you to the Namib Desert, spend the following two nights in the area.<\/p>\n
Situated on over 46 000 acres of private property and bordering the Namib Naukluft Park, KULALA DESERT LODGE lies in the heart of the Namib and offers magnificent views of the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei, as well as magnificent mountainous scenery and vast open plains. Twelve thatched and canvas chalets or \u201cKulalas\u201d (Kulala in the Namibian language \u201cOshiwambo\u201d means \u201cto sleep\u201d) with en-suite bathrooms and showers are set on wooden platforms to provide maximum airflow. For outdoor enthusiasts, mattresses can be moved to the rooftop to sleep under the stars from a private star gazing platform. The main lodge, with d\u00e9cor inspired from Northern Africa, has a lounge, pub, dining area and plunge pool, and offers a wrap-around verandah that overlooks the waterhole and provides a perfect location to view and photograph the desert sunset. Early morning guided game drives to the spectacular dunes are through a private gate on the Tsauchab River. Game drives and walks are also offered on the private reserve with incredible views, desert game and smaller desert fauna and flora. Another option, at an extra cost, is early morning ballooning. Beginning at first light, the 60-90 minute balloon safari offers a truly unique experience to soar silently above the magnificent sand dunes and desert \u2013 with a champagne breakfast served at your landing site.<\/p>\n

Board your charter flight to Swakopmund. After a leisurely breakfast continue via charter flight crossing the Namib Sand Sea<\/em> on route to the coastal town of Swakopmund. This route includes a scenic flight along the \u201cSkeleton Coast\u201d viewing the \u201cEdward Bohlen (1909)\u201d and \u201cShaunee (1976)\u201d shipwrecks and Sandwich Harbor. On arrival in Swakopmund you will be met by a company representative and transferred to transferred to your local hotel.<\/p>\nThe following two days will be spent in Namibia\u2019s premier coastal resort town, Swakopmund. Founded in 1892 during the period of German colonial rule it served as the territory\u2019s main harbor for years. Today this quaint town nestled between desert and ocean is enhanced by lush green lawns, palm trees and carefully tended gardens. There is a good selection of restaurants and coffee shops selling traditional German cakes and pastries.<\/p>\n
Overnight accommodation will be at the SWAKOPMUND HOTEL (similar) on a bed and breakfast basis only.<\/p>\n
The Swakopmund Hotel is a four-star luxury establishment built in and around the impeccably restored historical station building at Swakopmund. This stylish up market hotel complex is undoubtedly Swakopmund\u2019s most splendid facility. From the light and airy hotel foyer to the 90 spacious bedroom units and two Presidential Suites, all with en-suite facilities. Guests are hosted in luxurious surroundings with a winning combination of the friendly hospitality for which Namibia is renowned.<\/p>\n
While in Swakopmund a guided half-day excursion may be conducted onto the gravel plains of the Namib Naukluft Park. This area is renowned for its diversity in landscapes, including the \u201cMoon Landscape\u201d formation and \u201cLichen Fields\u201d and Namibia\u2019s prehistoric plant species, the Welwitschia mirabilis. Alternatively participate in a Dolphin Cruise from Walvis Bay.<\/p>\n
