Attractions throughout Namibia
 
While The majority of Namibia is arid and dry, the western belt is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, which provides a lush environment that is a stark contrast to inland desert.

Caprivi Strip
The Caprivi Strip is located in the far north east part of Namibia and is a contrast to the rest of the country. The Caprivi has perennial rivers and expansive floodplains, tropical vegetation and an abundance of game and birds and scattered settlements of rural people.

Central & Western North
The Central Plateau is dominated by Namibia’s capital, Windhoek.  A number of speciality guest farms are found in the area some of which offer viewing of Namibia’s predators such as the cheetah, leopard and lion.  The Waterberg Park was established as a sanctuary for the rare and endangered game species of the Caprivi.  In other areas dinosaur footprints can be seen as well as the largest known meteorite in the world, Hoba Meteorite.  Otjikoto and Guinas lakes are unique museums with rare mouth-breeding species of fish.
 
The Skeleton Coast National Park
The Skeleton Coast National Park protects about one third of Namibia’s coastline.  It attained its name because of the number of ships that have been wrecked on its shores.  The northern section is a concession area and restricted to fly-in safaris only.  For self-drive and guided safaris accommodation is only provided at Terrace Bay. Skeleton Coast safaris, holidays and vacations give visitors the opportunity to see some of Africa’s most famous wildlife species, including elephant, giraffe, rhinoceros and baboon.
 
Damaraland

The Namib Naukluft Park is Namibia’s most versatile conservation area in terms of biodiversity, size and tourist attractions.  The Naukluft mountain massif is a segment of the great escarpment that separates Namibia’s interior from the Namib Desert.  The mountains offer great hiking trails and is home to the Hartmann’s mountain zebra.  This vast wilderness contains key features such a Sesriem, Sossusvlei, the Welwitschia Trail, Sandwich Harbour and the Kuiseb Canyon.
Located in the Namib Desert, the Namib Naukluft National Park is an ecological preserve that protects the environment from human development. The Namib Desert is considered by many to be the world’s oldest desert and it is home to many species of plant and animal that have adapted to survive the harsh elements of the area.
 
The four Owambo Regions Ovamboland
A large percentage of Namibia’s population lives in this region, the areas consists of communal farmland.  The area has a rich and interesting cultural and historical tradition.  Nakambele Museum, Uukwaluudhi Traditional Homestead at Tsandi and the historical Omuguluwombase are all places worth a visit.
 
Also known as the Owamboland, the Ovamboland is the area inhabited by the Ovambo people. Situated in northern Namibia and southern Angola, Ovamboland Namibia accommodation is ideally positioned as a base of operation from which to explore the northern parts of Namibia.
 
Sossusvlei
The top attraction of the Namib Naukluft Park is Sossusvlei, renowned for its majestic star-shaped dunes and white pans, including Dead Pan with its ancient skeletons of desiccated camel-thorn trees.  Containing some of the highest sand dunes in the world, Sossusvlei offers amazing photography opportunities.

Walvis Bay
