Tofo :: overview
Tofo is located 25km from Inhambane and 400km north from the capital, Maputo. Thanks to its clear azure water and beautiful beaches Tofo is a famous village in Mozambique, though still small and authentic. It’s ideal to lay back , relax, baths in the Indian Ocean and dive around. In fact, Tofo is known worldwide in the diver community for manta rays and whale-shark sights. There is also a lively traditional market, bars and restaurants with a friendly atmosphere.
Tofo is easily accessible by plane from Maputo or Johannesburg through Inhambane airport, only 30 minutes away by car or bus. You can also begin your holiday with a real Mozambican experience by taking a chapa from Inhambane to Tofo.
